AYTON FAMILY HISTORY

This page is dedicated to the history of the Ayton family of Syderstone, Norfolk.

William Ayton married Mary Macey at South Creake in north-west Norfolk in 1775, and went on to have a family in nearby Syderstone. First name patterns and the marriage of William's eldest son to a girl from Foulsham, significantly further east, suggest the possibility of a link to the Aytons of Itteringham who are the closest significant concentration of the Ayton family. An outline of the top of the tree and the connections of descendant researchers is attached.
