AYTON FAMILY HISTORY

This page is dedicated to the history of the Atton family from Braunston in Rutland

The Atton family have lived in the village of Braunston in Rutland since at least 1500. It is possible that the family descends from the de Atons / de Attons / de Aytons of Pickering Lythe (West Ayton etc), partly suggested by the presence of Vessey / Vesey gravestones at Braunston (since the two families were interrelated).
